Description
In 1889, Mother Frances Cabrini and her companions arrived from Italy into the chaos and poverty of New York. They quickly began organizing catechism and language classes for Italian immigrants. They then established schools and orphanages, and served the poor throughout the city. Soon, Mother Cabrini was answering pleas to found schools around the world. Today, her Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart serve in many roles across six continents.
