Description
Nicholas was a generous 3rd-century bishop who came from a wealthy family. Legend has it that Nicholas would toss bags of gold through the windows of families in need of money to secure good marriages for their daughters. These bags of gold often landed in stockings hanging by a fire. Over time, a gift-giving tradition grew. In fact, every Gifts > Christmas we all invite St. Nicholas to celebrate with us, but his name sounds just a little different! You know him as… Santa Claus!
