Description
Padre Pio, born Francesco Forgione in 1887, was the son of poor Italian farmers. He became a Capuchin priest and eventually, an inspiration to millions. As Pope Paul VI explained: “He said Mass humbly, heard confessions from morning until night and was a marked representative of the stigmata of Our Lord. He was truly a man of prayer and suffering.” Padre Pio’s favorite advice was “Pray, hope and don’t worry.”
